Allan Leroy Taghon, 67, of Fairfield, Iowa and formerly of Keswick, Iowa passed away on Monday, November 2, 2020 at his home. As was his wishes, his body has been cremated. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 7, at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in What Cheer, Iowa from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon with the family present. Burial will be held in the Sorden Cemetery near Webster at a later date. Holland-Coble Funeral Home of What Cheer is in charge of arrangements.

Allan Leroy Taghon was born on July 16, 1953 to Albert and Gladys Bonnater Taghon. He was raised on the farm and graduated from Sigourney High School with the class of 1971. He then attended the American Institute of Business in Des Moines for two years. He married and was the father of two daughters, Holly and Carrie. Allan worked for FALCO for over 30 years. He loved fishing, mushroom hunting, music, movies and good food.  He enjoyed going to auctions and collecting coins. He was very laid back, enjoyed discussing politics, was an avid sports and Hawkeyes fan and followed all sports at Tri-County and Sigourney.

He is survived by his daughters, Holly (Jason) Grover of Monmouth, IL, and Carrie Pinkney of Montross, IA, three granddaughters; his brother, Dan (Lori) Taghon of Harper, IA, sisters, Susan Mottaz of Boise, ID, Carol (Mike) Denslow of Florence, MS, and several nieces and nephews.

Allan is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Gladys Taghon, and a sister in infancy, Donna Taghon.
