Arlene Krewson, 91 of New Sharon passed away Friday morning, October 25, 2024 at the Mahaska Health Partnership Hospice Serenity House in Oskaloosa. As was her wish, her body has been cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Coal Creek Church and may be sent to the Holland-Coble Funeral Home; In Care of Arlene Krewson; P.O. Box 85; New Sharon, Iowa 50207. Holland-Coble Funeral Home of New Sharon is in charge of arrangements.

Arlene Lucille Krewson, the daughter of John and Margaret (White) Denburger, was born on May 13, 1933 near Oskaloosa, Iowa. She graduated from Bussey High School in 1951 then attended Ottumwa Beauty School. She was married to Roy Harper in 1955 in Oskaloosa. Following Roy's death in 1958, Arlene was united in marriage to Kenneth Krewson on January 26, 1962. To this union two children were born, David and Becky. Arlene worked part time at a restaurant in Oskaloosa and was also a homemaker until her children started school. She then worked as a cook at William Penn University, North Mahaska School District and in 1978 she went to work at New Sharon Care Center, retiring in 2002. She always had a beautiful flower garden and loved to bake and cook. She also enjoyed watching a lot of home shopping television and spending time with her cats, Daisy and Sonny.

Arlene is survived by her children, David Krewson of New Sharon and Rebecca (James) Webster of Kansas City, MO; her grandson, Brandon Webster of Kansas City; her special friends, Kelly Moore and Marc McCain along with many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Roy Harper and Kenneth Krewson; her brother, Gerald Denburger and a brother in infancy, Raymond Denburger.
