Beverly Heishman, 85 of Grinnell and formerly of Deep River and Montezuma passed away Friday evening, January 10, 2025 at her home in Grinnell. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 am on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in Montezuma.  Burial will be held in the Jackson Township Cemetery in Montezuma.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 beginning at 2:30 pm with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in Montezuma.  Memorials may be directed to the Social Center at Seeland Park in Grinnell or the Montezuma School Baseball program.  Holland-Coble Funeral Home of Montezuma is in charge of the arrangements.

Beverly Eleane Heishman, the daughter of Loren and Verna (Benson) Piersel, was born on August 29, 1939 at her home near Gibson.  She graduated from Deep River High School in 1956.  On June 7, 1959, she was united in marriage to Dean Heishman at the First Presbyterian Church in Deep River.  Beverly worked in Des Moines after graduation, then worked at the Grinnell Telephone Company in Grinnell and Sig Manufacturing in Montezuma for many years. She also worked at the What Cheer Bank part-time after she retired.  She enjoyed playing cards and the activities at Seeland Park, college ballgames, helping host the out-of-town basketball college players, and the activities of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She tried not to miss many Iowa games.  Beverly enjoyed time with many friends and family.

Her legacy will be honored by her children, Jeff (Mary) Heishman of Deep River and Whitney Heishman of Pleasant Prairie, WI; two granddaughters, Taryn (Josh) Anderson and Tiffany Heishman; five grandchildren, Ava, Tenley, Knox, Krew and Lakyn; a sister, Connie Stephen of Montezuma and many other relatives and friends.

Beverly is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Dean.
