Carol Sue Albertson, 48 of Grinnell and formerly of Montezuma and Newton passed away on October 10, 2026, at Montezuma Specialty Care. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Holland-Coble Funeral Home of Montezuma is in charge of arrangements.

Carol Sue Albertson, the daughter of Earl and Janice (Newton) Albertson, was born on December 4, 1977, in Grinnell, Iowa. She attended Newton Schools before becoming a mother to her four children, Chardonnay, Cassandra, EJ, and Triston. She was a stay-at-home mom living in Colorado, Minnesota, Newton, Montezuma and Grinnell. While living in Montezuma she worked for a short time at The Depot Express. Carol enjoyed playing video games, figure eight races, diamond art, crossword puzzles, going to the casino, and watching the movie Coraline over and over.

Her memory will be cherished by her Mother; her children, Chardonnay (Brianna) Snow of Las Vegas, Cassandra Albertson of Grinnell, EJ Albertson of Searsboro, and Triston Albertson of Searsboro; her siblings, Earl (Brenda) Albertson of Searsboro and Catherine (Tim) Crossland of Newton; half siblings, Mikayla Barber of Washington, Cheryl Gates of Texas, Mark Housley of Newton, Teresa Cooper of Newton, and Tayna (Kevin) Neef of Marion; one grandchild and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her Father, and two siblings in infancy, Daniel and Jannette.
