Carolyn Craver, 75 of Oskaloosa passed away Wednesday afternoon, January 14, 2026 at Crystal Heights Care Center in Oskaloosa. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am Monday, January 19, 2026 at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in New Sharon. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held in the Friends Cemetery in New Sharon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of Carolyn's brother, Dennis, who lost his life in Vietnam to the Puppy Jake Foundation http://www.puppyjakefoundation.org/  to help military veterans through the assistance of highly trained service dogs. Holland-Coble Funeral Home of New Sharon is in charge of arrangements.

Carolyn Lea Craver, the daughter of Leland and Katherine (Fleming) Craver, was born on August 3, 1950 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. She graduated from North Mahaska High School with the class of 1968. Following graduation, Carolyn lived at home with her parents, helping around the house before getting her own apartment in Oskaloosa through COC. Carolyn loved her time at COC and stayed busy with various jobs. She also lived at Imagine the Possibilities in Oskaloosa for several years taking several trips with them and one of the more memorable one being to one of Laura Ingles Childhood home in Walnut Grove, MN, which she loved Little House on the Prairie. She was a very social person looking forward to her high school reunions and get togethers. She also enjoyed traveling, especially to Arizona, to see her parents while they wintered there attending several Chicago Cub Spring Training games with them. Carolyn loved her family, especially her nieces and nephews. She was very musical and enjoyed playing the clarinet and singing in the United Methodist Church Choir. Carolyn was a past member of the New Sharon United Methodist Church and most recently attended the Gateway Church of the Nazarene in Oskaloosa.

Her memory will be honored by her sister, Vivian (Allen) Kiene of Broomfield, CO; her brother, Kenneth (Jacki) Craver of Pella; four nieces and nephews, Jeremy (fiancé, Ally) Kiene, Ben (Cindy) Kiene/Leibman, Desha (Jeff) Bruxvoort and Jess (Doug) Kanis; four great nieces and nephews, Lawson (Emma) Bruxvoort, one on the way (baby Bruxvoort), Zeb Kanis, Kenzie Kanis and Cleo Kiene along with several other family and friends.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Leland and Katherine Craver and a brother, Dennis Craver.
