Catherine Ann Moore, age 45, was joyfully welcomed home by her Lord and Savior, hearing the words "Well done, good and faithful servant," on May 5, 2026. Burial will be held privately. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Holland-Coble Funeral Chapel of What Cheer is in charge of arrangements.

Catherine was born on November 19, 1980, in Ottumwa, Iowa. She spent her childhood on the family farm, where her days were filled with outdoor adventures and quiet hours enjoying books—early signs of the thoughtful and gentle spirit she carried throughout her life.

In August of 1999, Catherine met her soon‑to‑be best friend and the love of her life, Sam Moore, at Central College in Pella. The two were united in marriage on June 21, 2003, beginning a life built on devotion, faith, and friendship.

Catherine discovered her greatest purpose in December of 2004 when she became a mother. She poured her heart into loving and nurturing her children—Greta, Emma, and Kenneth—spending countless hours reading and playing with them, and treasuring every moment entrusted to her. Her love was patient, joyful, and unwavering.

Beyond her own children, Catherine invested deeply in the lives of her nieces, nephews, and the many children she cared for through daycare over the years. Each child was loved as her own, and they returned that love freely through endless smiles and hugs—a testament to the warmth and safety she created wherever she was.

A gifted and talented musician, Catherine had the rare ability to play multiple instruments, including the piano, clarinet, saxophone, and trumpet. Music was a reflection of her creativity, discipline, and joy.

Catherine also had a joyful and creative love for comic books, paired with a quick wit and a wonderful sense of humor. She delighted in stories, characters, and the imagination they sparked, often laughing at clever dialogue and sharing jokes or lighthearted moments inspired by what she read. This playful joy was something she loved passing on to others—especially her children—as she encouraged creativity, curiosity, and a sense of wonder. Whether through a favorite comic, a well‑timed joke, or a shared laugh, Catherine had a gift for brightening the day.

Catherine loved Jesus deeply and never hesitated to share that love with others. Whether she was teaching Sunday School, helping with Vacation Bible School, or simply talking with someone one‑on‑one, her faith was a natural part of who she was. She spoke openly about God's goodness and lived it through kindness, encouragement, and genuine care for those around her. Catherine often shared that her hope was to have heaven crowded with those she loved, and that desire shaped the way she loved, served, and spoke to everyone she met.

Left to cherish her memory and carry on her legacy of love and faith are her beloved family Sam, Greta, Emma, and Kenneth Moore, Kenneth Farmer, Laura Farmer, Christine, Zach, Anna, and Olivia Hadley, John Farmer, Abigail and Troy Michel, Adrian Johnson, Eric Johnson, Ron and Kathy Moore, Wes, Angie, Quin, and Finley Moore, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and cherished loved ones.

Catherine is reunited in heaven with her mother, Jeanette Farmer; sister, Amy Graham; and niece, Chloe Hadley.

Catherine will be laid to rest in the family cemetery on the family farm south of Delta, Iowa—a place that held many of her earliest and most treasured memories.

Her life was a testimony of faith, love, and service, and her legacy will live on through all who were blessed to know her.
