Cody Roberts, 31 of New Sharon passed away Friday morning, February 16, 2024 due to injuries sustained in an autombile accident. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 am Thursday, February 22, 2024 at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in New Sharon. A luncheon will follow the service at the Engage Church in New Sharon (formerly the Assembly of God Church). Vistation will begin after 12:00 pm Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in New Sharon with the family present from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his mother, Stephanie Allison, who will determine a memorial at a later time. Holland-Coble Funeral Home of New Sharon is in charge of arrangements.

Cody Tyler Roberts was born on August 12, 1992 in Ottumwa, Iowa. He attended school in Oskaloosa, Sigourney and then graduated from North Mahaska High School with the class of 2011. After high school, Cody moved to St. Joseph, Michigan to live with his his grandmother and worked for Tosis Restaurant and Meijer before moving back to New Sharon. He was currently working for EPC in Grinnell where he has been employed for the last six years. Cody was a people person and never met a stranger. He had a huge heart and would do anything to help anybody. If you ever needed anyone to talk to Cody would be there to listen. But most importantly, Cody loved his family and he loved being loved by his family. He had a passion for History, Politics and keeping up on current events. He also enjoyed getting together with friends and playing  Airsoft Gun Wars and War Hammer Games.

His memory will be cherished by his mother, Stephanie Allison of New Sharon; his sister, Summer Jackson and nephew Grayson Jackson both of Montezuma; his paternal grandmother, Patricia Roberts of St. Joseph, MI; his maternal grandmother, Maxine (Dennis) Blythe of What Cheer; his aunts and uncles, Cliff (Tishia) Roberts of Bridgman, MI, Clinton (Liz) Roberts of Cameron, MO and Stacey Fox of Delta along with many cousins; his father, Clayton Roberts and many friends.

Cody was preceded in death by his great grandmother, Lurlie Mae Herman; his maternal grandfather, Kenneth Kensler and paternal grandfather, Clifton Roberts.
