Colleen Bartlett, 73 of New Sharon passed away peacefully Saturday, March 9, 2024 at the Mahaska Health Partnership Hospice Serenity House in Oskaloosa. As was her wish, her body has been cremated and no services are planned. Holland-Coble Funeral Home of New Sharon is in charge of arrangements.

Colleen Rae Bartlett, the daughter of Burrell and Ruth (Pierce) Smith, was born on November 26, 1950 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. She graduated from Oskaloosa High School in 1969. Colleen was married to Afton Richards in 1969. To this union one son was born, Daniel. They later divorced. She was then married to Roger Bartlett in 1974. Colleen worked at the Mercy Clinic Pharmacy in Oskaloosa then Big Bear in Oskaloosa. She also managed the Casey's in New Sharon for several years before managing GNC in Oskaloosa before retiring. Colleen was an avid bowler and enjoyed sprint car races along with stock car races. She also loved to play pool, go swimming and going on vacations to beaches where she can hunt for shells and parasail mainly in Florida or California. She also belonged to several bowling leagues over the years.

Colleen's memory will be honored by her son, Daniel Richards of Oskaloosa; her brother, Gary Smith of Oskaloosa along with many friends.

Colleen was preceded in death by her parents.
