Dan Fisk, 89, of Searsboro passed away Thursday, September 30, 2021 at his home near Searsboro. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at the Assembly of God Church in New Sharon. Burial with military rites will be held in the Friends Cemetery in New Sharon. Visitation will begin after 12:00 pm Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at the Assembly of God Church in New Sharon with the family present from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Assembly of God Church in New Sharon. Holland-Coble Funeral Home of New Sharon is in charge of arrangements.

Daniel Boone Fisk, the son of Alfred and Lucille (Leatherman) Fisk, was born on January 10, 1932, near New Sharon. He graduated from Searsboro High School in 1949. On September 19, 1952, Dan entered active service into the United States Army. He served with distinction during the Korean War, reaching the rank of Sergeant First Class. Daniel was honorably discharged in December of 1953 with the following decorations, medals and badges: The Korean Service medal with one Bronze Service Star, National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. After returning home from Korea, Daniel married Wanda Ruth Van Dorland. To this union three daughters were born. On August 10, 1971, Daniel married Irene McNaul and gained five step children. Daniel and Irene raised their children and continued to farm south of Searsboro. Daniel was a fervent follower of Christ and a dependable church member of the Assembly of God in New Sharon. He loved to travel and enjoyed building dune buggies.

Daniel is survived by his children, Jacqueline (Tom) Russell, Brenda Jo (Ricardo) Castaneda, Jerri (Norman) Belew, Cyndy McNaul, Charlotte (Russell) Beyer, Kenneth McNaul, Cheri McNaul and Dan (Marji) McNaul; 13 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; his brother, Benjamin (Harriet) Fisk and many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Lucille Fisk and his sister, Betty Moore.
