Della Stevens, 94 of Deep River passed away Tuesday morning, October 7, 2025, at the Manor House in Sigourney. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 10, 2025, at the Calvary Lutheran Church in Deep River. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Calvary Lutheran Church in Deep River or the Deep River Fire Department. Holland-Coble Funeral Home of Montezuma is in charge of arrangements.

Della Jane Stevens, the daughter of Floyd and Alice (Mumm) Meyer was born on May 5, 1931, in Williamsburg, Iowa. She graduated from Williamsburg High School in 1949. On December 29, 1954, Della married Raymond Martin in Memphis, MO. After Raymond's death in 1971, Della was united in marriage to Orman Stevens on September 15, 1978, in Deep River, IA.

Della lived a life full of love, conversations, and connections. She was the type of lady who could strike up a chat with anyone, anytime, anywhere, a trait she picked up from her father. Along with loving to talk, she also loved to sing but dancing was her favorite. Della's warmth and openness were unmistakable, and she carried those gifts with her through each season of her life, making many great friends along the way. Her circle was wide, and she always made time to visit often. Della loved the Lord deeply. She enjoyed Sunday School and was always happy to be involved in the choir. Della had a passion for flowers, especially carnations, and her home bloomed with beautiful full flower beds. She was a master in the kitchen, she loved to cook, bake and canning with skill and love.

Survived by son; Dennis (Debraha) Martin of Keswick; Stepson, Dan Stevens; Stepdaughters, Becky (Alan) Hoksbergen of New Sharon and Connie (Raymond) Thompson of Montezuma; brothers, Richard Meyer of Parnell; two grandchildren, Jason (Tammy) Molyneux and Jennifer (Jake)Molyneux; four great-grandchildren, Jason Micheal Molyneux, Eli Molyneux, Levi Molyneux and Sienna Molyneux.

She is preceded in death by two husbands, Raymond Martin and Orman Stevens; a son, Leo Leland Martin; brothers, Leonard Meyer, David Meyer, Vernon Meyer, Edward Meyer, Floyd Jr Meyer, Melvin Meyer and John Meyer; a sister, Ruth Melsa; and a great-grandson, Anthony Molyneux.
