Denise VanDee (Woods), 59, of Delta, died Friday, April 23, 2021. A graveside service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 1, 2021 in the Garrett Cemetery at Delta. A luncheon will be held at the Delta Christian Church following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family. Denise Darlene VanDee was born April 9, 1962 in Sigourney, Iowa, the daughter of Ivan and Leona Short Woods. She attended school in Delta until it closed then she finished her schooling at Sigourney High School. Denise enjoyed coloring and crafts, visiting with friends, babysitting her grandchildren and most anything that allowed her to spend time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan and Leona Woods; and her grandparents, Rex and Inez Short.

Denise is survived by her four children: Randy Sams of Oskaloosa, Tara (Jason Richardson) Sams of Sigourney, Jessie (Scott Harris) Woods of Delta, and Jamie (Carrie) Grover of Sigourney; her sister, Brenda (Michael) Thomas of Sigourney. She also leaves behind twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
