Diana Bokhoven, age 79 of New Sharon passed away peacefully November 30th, 2025 at the Mahaska Health Partnership Hospice Serenity in Oskaloosa.  Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am Friday, December 12, 2025 at the New Life Fellowship Church in New Sharon; visitation will begin 90 minutes prior to the service beginning at 9:30 am where the family will be present.  Burial will be held in the Friends Cemetery in New Sharon, with a luncheon to follow at the McVay Family Center, Holland Coble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Diana Colleen Bokhoven was born July 22, 1946, in Oskaloosa, Iowa the daughter of Homer and Lillian (Lappin) Hynick.  She attended Fremont Community Schools and was a graduate of the 1964 graduating class.  Diana was united in marriage to Gary Bokhoven on April 8, 1967, at the Central Reformed Church in Oskaloosa.  She worked various jobs at Grinnell Mutual, Harkema Chevrolet, Pella Corp, New Sharon Childcare and Preschool and Donna's Corner Cottage.  She was a member of the New Life Fellowship Church and Prairie Knolls Country Club in New Sharon. She enjoyed going to her children's, grandchildren's and great grandchildren's activities, most of all she cherished the times going places with her sister Barb and Friday Coffee Time with many friends.

Diana's memory is honored by her son, Scot (DeeAnn) Bokhoven of New Sharon, her daughter, Leanna (Todd) Jones of Ankeny, grandchildren Christine and Caleb Rozendaal, Brittany (Matt) Lewis, Trenton (Nicole) Lindenman, great grandchildren Bexley, Beckham and Norie Lewis, Ellie and Garrett Lindenman all of New Sharon.  Her sister Barb Krusemark of Oskaloosa, brother-in-law Marvin Bokhoven of New Sharon and sister-in-law Nancy (Errol) Garron of Laurel, Maryland.  Along with many nieces and nephews.

Diana was preceded in death by her husband Gary, her parents Homer and Lillian, her maternal parents Gerritt and Wilma and Dee, her sister Nancy Stoos, her brother Neil Hynick, her brother in laws, Bob Krusemark, Dwayne Stoos.

It is the families wish that memorials be made to the Mahaska Health Partnership Serenity House or the Friday Coffee Time Club.
