With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Dianne Eagle "Dee", a woman whose vibrant spirit and boundless love touched the lives of so many. Dianne Eagle, 63, departed peacefully on July 7, 2025 surrounded with love at her home in rural South English. In lieu of flowers they are accepting donations to PAWS & More Washington, Iowa A Celebration of life will be held on July 20, 2025, Poolside at The Riverside Casino and Golf Resort from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

A true social butterfly, Dee effortlessly flitted from one connection to another, leaving a trail of warmth and laughter in her wake.

Dee held a special place in her heart for her canine companions, finding immense joy in their unwavering loyalty and affection. Her love for the natural world extended to the delicate beauty of flowers, which she admired and surrounded herself with.

Above all else, Dee cherished her family. Her love for her son Brandon was immeasurable, a bond that brought her endless pride and happiness. She was a devoted and loving presence within her extended family, creating cherished memories that will be treasured for generations to come.

A natural people person, Dee found great joy working in the hospitality industry, where she touched countless lives with her genuine smile, friendly conversation, and dedication to making everyone feel at home. She was also activities director at a local nursing home. Dee poured her infectious energy and caring nature into enriching the lives of the residents. Her creativity, enthusiasm, and genuine compassion made her a beloved figure, bringing joy and connection to those in her care.

Dee's bright light will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her capacity for love, her zest for life, and her ability to bring people together will forever be remembered.

Dee is survived by her son: Brandon (Kailyn) Eagle, her parents: Ron Funk of Iowa City. Bette Funk & Rod Madden of Tiffin Iowa: Sibling's: Leslie (Dan) Kehl, Ronda Stout, John (Jean) Funk : Lyle Evans, her lifetime partner of 27 years along with many nieces and nephews.
