DJ Bunn, 40 of rural Searsboro, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2023. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in honor of DJ and may be sent to the funeral home at Holland-Coble Funeral Home, P.O. Box 727, Montezuma, Iowa 50171. Holland-Coble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Dennis James Bunn Jr., the son of Dennis Bunn Sr. and Lisa (Earley) Lee, was born on June 26, 1982 in Portage, Wisconsin. D.J. was a handyman ranging from carpentry work, dog training, painting, roofing and factory work. He enjoyed fishing, training dogs and taking his dog, Bella for evening rides.

His memory will be honored by his fiancé, Angie Flander of Montezuma, children, Sierra Bennink, Addison Miesner, Aiden Mulford and Mckenna Fairley; grandson, John Henry Bennink; his mother, Lisa Lee of Montezuma; his father, Dennis Bunn Sr. of Sedalia, MO; his sisters, Jamie Stephenson of Montezuma and Carol (Chuck) Michalek of Montezuma; a step brother, Brian Mumby of Sedalia, MO; nieces, Brinley Stephenson and Chloe Michalek; nephews, Jacob Karman, Tyler (Leanne Mossberg) Benson, Tanner McClun, Camden Michalek and Carter Michalek along with many other relatives and friends.

DJ was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Gordon and Mary Carol Earley; his paternal grandparents, Jim and Doris Bunn; aunt, Esther Dreesman; step father, Gregory Lee; step mother, Debbie Bunn; step sister, Melinda Bennington; an infant nephew, Damon and a brother-in-law, Shane Stephenson.
