Donna Jean n'ee Collins Culver was born October 26, 1944 in Iowa City, Iowa to Vernadine Grace and Floyd Elton Collins.  She lived in Maysville and Deep River Iowa.  In 1952 Donna moved with family to Grinnell, Iowa, where she graduated from High School in 1962.  She grew up on a farm and loved her pet kittens and dogs, she had a favorite dog named Dixie growing up and later Dallas and Lassie.  She was confirmed in the St John Lutheran Church, Grinnell. Iowa, at the age of 14.

In her high school year- books she was thought of as, fun, sweet, and kind.  In 1963 Donna graduated from Paris Beauty Academy in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She practiced for about two years, then began her 33 year career at Collins Avionics in Cedar Rapids, Iowa  In 1976 she transferred with her corporation to Melbourne, Florida.  Collins was later to become Rockwell International.

At Rockwell Donna became International order Administrator serving all countries for Rockwell's service parts for Aviation products.  Donna also served the major accounts domestically in the United States. In that position she became knowledgeable about all foreign exchange rates and letters of credit, export licenses, for Rockwell customers. Donna had special training in Government Service Contracts and pricing. She was respected by her international customers and highly regarded by her peers and management in Melbourne.  Donna regularly received letters, cards and gifts for the excellent service she provided their customers.  Electronic LTD, in Tolstoy Marg. New Delhi, Sweden, various Latin countries, Mexican Air Force, Tokyo, Japan, Deutscher Areo of  Germany , Canadair Aviation Service of Montreal,  Australia, Burma, Myanmar, Hong Kong, Bombay, India, and many other companies and country's too numerous to mention.

Donna loved to travel and did extensively through-out the United States, many times with friends or driving alone.  She participated in many corporate parties, dinners and weddings. Rockwell had professional bowling and pool (Billiards) teams in which Donna participated. She accumulated many trophies for both sports.  She also had individual trophies she had won. She loved to dance and enjoyed music and singing thru out her life, and just days before she deceased "belted" songs out over the phone with an accompaniment and others singing with her. She could listen to a few bars of music and tell you who wrote it and who made it popular.  She loved cross word puzzles and would tell people she did hers in ink.

She spent many holidays and good times, with her Sister Billie and brother in-law Ray Byers in Tampa Florida. She traveled to Colorado to spent time with her sister Micah and brother in –law Roger Rasner.  She married RD Culver in 1994 at the First United Methodist Church in Melbourne, Florida. They continued to have elaborate parties at their home in Melbourne. Donna was a very good cook and enjoyed new recipes. They had two beloved dogs Pepper, a Pompeian and Shadow, a Pekinese both pre-deceased her.

Her parents, husband and Brother in law Raymond Byers pre-deceased her. She will be missed and is survived by her sister's Billie Byers, Tampa Florida, Micah and brother-in-law Roger Rasner of Colorado and Arizona.  She will be interned in Montezuma, Iowa beside her Brother in-law Raymond Byers.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at 2:00 pm at the Jackson Township Cemetery in Montezuma.
