Eric Osmond, 51 of New Sharon passed away Thursday morning, November 21, 2024 at the Centerville Specialty Care. As was his wish, his body has been cremated and no services are scheduled at this time. Holland-Coble Funeral Home of New Sharon is in charge of arrangements.

Eric Scott Osmond, the son of Austin and Carol (Johnson) Osmond, was born on March 13, 1973 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. He graduated from North Mahaska High School with the class of 1991 and then graduated from Indian Hills Community College with a degree in Robotics in 1998. Eric worked for American Car Wash in Robotics living in Des Moines and Ankeny. He then drove taxi cab for Capital Cab in Des Moines from 2000 to 2017 before moving back to New Sharon to help take care of his parents. He was a huge Green Bay Packer fan and had a passion for playing cards especially Poker and Cribbage. He had a nice card collection along with being a huge movie buff, enjoyed playing games and hanging out with friends and family. He belonged to a Masonic Lodge in Des Moines serving as treasurer and after moving back to New Sharon he attended Masonic Lodge in Oskaloosa.

He is survived by his sister, Staci (Wil Pantier) Osmond of West Des Moines, his brother by other mothers, Scott and Tommy along with many other friends.

Eric was preceded in death by his parents, Austin and Carol Osmond.
