Ethel Roach, 91, of Delta, died Friday, June 7, 2024, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. A graveside funeral service at Rice Cemetery will begin at 11:00 am on Friday, September 6, 2024. A luncheon will be provided by the family following the service at the Methodist Church in What Cheer. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.

Ethel Lois Roach was born December 17, 1932, near Thornburg to Edwin J. and Ethel Thomas Ross. She married Charles Roach on June 18, 1960, in South Carolina. Ethel traveled all over southeast United States with several carnivals, living life to the fullest. She earned her GED in 1983.

Ethel had no children, but is survived by a stepson, Manuel Camacho as well as twelve nieces and nephews: Dick and Don Ross, Cathy Fair, Betty Current, Frank Pierce, Margie Pierce, Les, Larry and Dave Sauer, Wayne, Bob and Keith Souer.

She is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a brother, George Ross; three sisters, Gladys Souer, Marie Souer and Ruth Pierce; two nieces, Margorie Maule and Peggy Rinderknect; and a nephew. Kenneth (K-9) Souer.
