Faye Knowler, 82, of Oskaloosa and formerly of New Sharon, passed away Monday evening, April 15, 2024 at the Northern Mahaska Specialty Care in Oskaloosa. Funeral Services will begin at 10:00 am Saturday, April 20, 2024 at the Lighthouse Church in New Sharon. Burial will be held privately at Friends Cemetery in New Sharon at a later date. Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm Friday, April 19, 2024 at the Lighthouse Church with the family present from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Oskaloosa City Band or the Nelson Pioneer Farm. Holland-Coble Funeral Home of New Sharon is in charge of arrangements.

Faye Ellen Knowler, the daughter of Gerard and Clara (Ling) Westercamp, was born on February 3, 1942 at home in Oskaloosa. She graduated from Oskaloosa High School with the class of 1960. Faye was married to Dwight DeJong in 1960. To this union two daughters were born, Deb and Ralphi. They later divorced. Faye was then married to Wendell Knowler in 1978 at the First Christian Church in New Sharon.

Faye held several jobs and really enjoyed meeting people while helping at Reruns Consignment Store. Faye was a social butterfly and never knew a stranger. She loved to serve others and took pride in taking care of her friends and taking them to their appointments. She loved her family and supported her grandchildren in all of their activities. Faye also supported North Mahaska Schools and attended every ballgame or activity even when her grandchildren were graduated and was known as "Granny Faye". Faye also enjoyed golfing, bowling, going on bus trips, playing cards, riding her bike and roller skating. She was a member of the Prairie Knolls Country Club, the Lighthouse Church in New Sharon, the Red Hat Ladies and Vantastics.

Faye's legacy will be honored by her daughters and families, Deb DeJong and her children, Nick Ryan and Kayla (Eli) Wright and Kinsley;  and Ralphi (Lee) Munson and her children, Tyler John "TJ" Sandin, DeLaney (Cody) DeZwarte and Crosson, Jac (Caia) Munson and Hung Tong; her bonus family, Jan (Terry) King and Joyce (Bernie) Harmeyer; her bonus grandchildren and family, Wendy King and Megan, Teresa (Brandon) Slate and Samara and Ellison and Erin Harmeyer; her brothers, Roger (Darlene) Westercamp and Howard (Margie) Westercamp and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerard and Clara Westercamp and her husband, Wendell Knowler.
