Floy White, 79 of Keswick, passed away on Saturday, September 16 at Kokomo, Indiana.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 25, 2023 at 10:00 am at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in What Cheer.  Burial will be held in the White Oak Presbyterian Cemetery near Thornburg. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 24, beginning at 1:00 pm, family will be present from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in What Cheer.  Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.  Holland-Coble Funeral Home of What Cheer is in charge of the arrangements.

Floy Ann White, named after her grandmother, was born March 26th, 1944, to Frank and

Lavelle Gingerich in Lancaster, Missouri. She attended school in Lancaster and graduated with

the Class of 1962. While in high school, Floy played basketball and softball, was drum

majorette, and taught baton lessons to younger girls. After high school, Floy attended Kirksville

Cosmetology School. She then went to work at the beauty shop in Lancaster with her big sister,

Mary. Floy was united in marriage to John Patrick White on April 17, 1971, in Lancaster,

Missouri. To this union, two daughters were born, Leia and Lindsey. They lived for a short time

in Ottumwa before moving to their farm in Keswick. Floy worked for Marge Campbell before

opening her own beauty shop at her home. Later, she also worked at the Tanger Outlet Mall.

Floy lived in Alaska for a short time in her early twenties. After marrying Pat, she met

James Moore and would sing with him at the What Cheer Opera House and The Oasis Supper

Club. Floy read her bible every day and wanted the best for everyone. She never met a

stranger. Floy liked watching the Denver Broncos and setting up her booth at the What Cheer Flea

Market. She decorated for all the holidays, especially Christmas. She loved cooking, baking,

and traveling. Her most recent trips were in June to the Grand Canyon with her family, and her

final trip was to Kokomo, Indiana, with Pat for his yearly Vietnam Reunion. Most of all, she

delighted in spending time with her family, especially her precious grandchildren.

Her legacy will be honored by her husband of 52 years, Patrick White of Keswick; her

daughters, Leia (Travis) Molyneux of Gibson and Lindsey (Matt Marsh) White of West Des

Moines; two grandchildren, Brandt and Lauren Molyneux; her sisters, Mary Alice (Manley)

Smyser of Glenwood, Missouri and Barbara Jean Williams of Lancaster, Missouri; her sisters in

law, Ann Heisdorffer of Kansas City, Missouri and Rita Dugger of What Cheer, Iowa; as well as

many other relatives and friends.

Floy is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Anita Jane Hopkins, and her

brothers-in-law, Robert Poe, David Hopkins, Steve Williams, Mike White, and John Heisdorffer.

Floy was determined to get to heaven first before her loyal customer and friend, Joyce

McCullough. Joyce now has a fresh perm, and those two are solving the world's problems. You

can bet on it.
