Ginger Klinker, 85 of New Sharon passed away Thursday morning, August 15, 2024 at the UnityPoint Grinnell Regional Medical Center in Grinnell. Funeral services will begin 10:30 Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in New Sharon. Burial will be held in the Friends Cemetery in New Sharon. Visitation will begin after 12:00 pm on Monday, August 19, 2024 at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in New Sharon with the family present from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the North Mahaska Athletic Boosters or the North Mahaska Music Boosters. Holland-Coble Funeral Home of New Sharon is in charge of arrangements.

Virginia Elaine "Ginger" Klinker, the daughter of Emory and Grace (Miller) Grosenbach, was born on November 3, 1938 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. She graduated from New Sharon High School with the class of 1956. On February 28, 1960, Ginger was united in marriage to Jack Klinker at the New Sharon United Methodist Church. To this union two children were born, Dianna and Mark. Ginger worked at the Iowa DOT in Ames while Jack attended school.  After Jack graduated from Iowa State University, they moved to Albia where they farmed a few years before moving back to New Sharon in 1966 taking over the family farm. In 1984, Ginger Started working for Medalist Manufacturing in Pella retiring in 2003. She enjoyed doing puzzles and word searches, watching storms, and most importantly she loved her Dr. Pepper. Ginger spent many hours at North Mahaska School supporting her grandchildren in all of their sporting events or school activities. She was a member of PEO Sisterhood Chapter AL, Busy Bees and the North Mahaska School Boosters.

Her Legacy will be honored by her children, Dianna Klinker of New Sharon and Mark Klinker of New Sharon; her grandchildren, Kayla Peiffer, Savanna (Elijah) Williams, Dylan Shipley, Mallory Klinker, Logan Shipley, Dylan Klinker, Jalayna Shipley and Rain Shipley; her great grandchildren, Carter, Kolby, Jaxon, Kasen, Hadley and Maleah along with many other relatives and friends.

Ginger was preceded in death by her parents, Emory and Grace Grosenbach; her husband, Jack Klinker, her brother, Dick Grosenbach; two great grandchildren, Emerett and Gianna and her parents-in-law, John and Faye Klinker.
