Gladys Souer, 96, of Sigourney, died Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at the Manor House in Sigourney. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in What Cheer. Burial will be in the Bethel Cemetery near Hayesville. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2020 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Essence of Life Hospice.

Gladys Arlene Souer was born February 21, 1924 in Rock Springs, Wyoming, the daughter of Edwin and Ethel Thomas Ross. She was united in marriage to Doyle Souer on November 14, 1942 in Lancaster, Missouri. Gladys was a graduate of Thornburg High School. She worked as a farm wife most of her life and for a few years Gladys work at Kingsberry Homes in Sigourney.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Doyle Souer; an infant daughter, Ethel Mae Souer; a son, Kenneth Dean Souer; a daughter-in-law, Wanda Souer; a brother, George Ross and a sister, Ruth Pierce.

Gladys is survived by three sons, Wayne (Sherry) Souer, Bob (Lynn) Souer, Keith (Robin) Sour; two sisters, Ethel Roach and Marie Souer. She also leaves behind ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
