Harvey Lembke, 89 of Williamsburg passed away Wednesday evening, August 19, 2026, at the Compass Memorial Healthcare Center in Marengo. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 pm Thursday, September 3, 2026, at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in Montezuma. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the funeral home. Services will be live-streamed and a link will be shared the day of the service. Holland-Coble Funeral Home of Montezuma is in charge of arrangements.

Harvey Helmer Lembke, the eldest child of Andrew Lembke and Nora (Anderson) Rasmussen Lembke, was born on September 21, 1936, in Hope, MN. He grew up on a farm near to Hope and Blooming Prairie, MN where he helped his father farm and learned to drive the tractor when he was ten years old. Harvey stayed busy in school by helping to clean manual typewriters, and his boss told him he needed to go into electronics because the electrical typewriter was coming out. He attended confirmation classes and was confirmed in the Lutheran Church. Harvey graduated from Owatonna High School with the class of 1954 before attending Dunwoody Technical School in Minneapolis receiving an associate's degree.

Harvey met the love of his life, Nancy Wolf, when he was 16 years old and they were married two weeks after she graduated high school on June 16, 1956. To this union four children were born, Wendy, Patricia, Mark and Mike. Harvey worked for Remington Rand in Minneapolis before moving to Long Island, NY to work for UNIVAC which was a division of Remington Rand. Harvey then moved to Seattle, Washington and worked for Boeing where he worked on the Bomarc Missile Production Line along with the Titan missile and Minuteman missile before being transferred to Abeline, TX to expand their missile production. Harvey then moved to Marion, Iowa where he worked for Collins Radio then eventually Rockwell Collins where he held high pressure government jobs working government contracts. He worked with NASA on Apollo 10 and was instrumental in helping humans land on the moon. Towards the end of his career, Harvy worked on Apache and Dakota Helicopters eventually retiring in 1993 at the age of 55.

Following retirement, Harvey was able to enjoy the simple things in life, and they moved to the Lake of the Ozarks, MO where they stayed for 22 years. They loved the outdoors and were very active hunting, fishing and camping eventually moving to South Dakota because they loved the area and had vacationed there often.

His legacy will be cherished by his wife of 70 years, Nancy of Williamsburg; his children, Wendy (Mark) Jones of Red Wing, MN, Patricia (Harold) Wheeler of Montezuma, Mark Lembke of Rapid City, SD and Mike (Judy) Lembke of Herrick, SD; a daughter-in-law, Jeanie Lembke; his 12 grandchildren, Brian (Nicole) Jones, Emily (Chad) Hadler, Audrey (fiancé, Austin Bunker) Wheeler, Nathan Wheeler, Natalie Wheeler, Allison Wheeler, Matthew Lembke, Nicohlas (Maddison) Lembke, Joshua (Katie) Lembke, Jacob (Nikki) Lembke, Daniel (Nicole) Lembke and Benjamin (Paris) Lembke; 21 great grandchildren, Caitlyn, Caleb, Carson, Parker, Samantha (Kelly), Noah, Morgan (Camden), Gabriel, Seth, Weslie, Eli, Brooklynn, Sage, Zeke, Chet, Lucille, Rosina, Arlo, Wells, Raelynn and Kempton; his three great-great grandchildren, Wesley, Wrenley and Monroe; brother, Helmer (Kathy) Lembke along with many other relatives and friends.

Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Lembke and Nora (Harvey) Rasmussen and a sister, Donna Grubish.
