Irveen Rauch, 83 of Montezuma passed away Friday, November 15, 2024 at St. Francis Manor in Grinnell. Memorial services will begin at 11:00 am Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at the Calvary Lutheran Church in Deep River. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be held in the Golden Rod Cemetery in Deep River. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Calvary Lutheran Church in Deep River. Holland-Coble Funeral Home of Montezuma is in charge of arrangements.

Irveen Jean Rauch, the daughter of John and Odessa (Baltisburger) Douglass, was born on March 3, 1941 in Grinnell, Iowa. She graduated from Malcom High School in 1959. On November 9, 1963, Irveen was united in marriage to LaVern Rauch at the Malcom United Presbyterian Church. Irveen worked at Miracle Recreation Equipment in Grinnell before starting at Brownells Inc. in 1971 as a Book Keeper retiring in 2005. She enjoyed spending time with family, knitting, crocheting, riding with LaVern on their Yamah Venture along with riding on her own Indian Bike. She also enjoyed gardening, baking, going on road trips to see her grandkids and great grandkids and never missed the Iowa State Fair. She also looked forward to her July 4th, Parties and riding horses with Jenea and friends. Irveen was a faithful member of the Calvary Lutheran.

Her legacy will be honored by her daughters, Kathy Simonton of Montezuma and Jenea (Michael) Keith; her grandchildren, Chad (Brianna) Simonton, Ryan Simonton and Garrett Keith; great grandchildren, Kennady Simonton, Noah Simonton, Trey Simonton, Grayson Simonton and Cru Simonton; her brother, Gale (Carole) Douglass; her sister, Charlene Vanderveer along with many other relatives and friends.

Irveen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, LaVern; her sister, Elaine White and her brother-in-law, Leonard Vanderveer.
