Julie Ewing, 63 of New Sharon passed away Monday morning, January 15, 2024 at the UnityPoint Grinnell Regional Medical Center. As was her wish, her body has been cremated and services will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the family's name and may be sent to the Holland-Coble Funeral Home; In Care of Julie Ewing; P.O. Box 85; New Sharon, Iowa 50207. Holland-Coble Funeral Home of New Sharon is in charge of arrangements.

Julie Renee Ewing, the daughter of Merwyn Jr. and Joyce (Walker) Fox, was born on November 15, 1960. She graduated from North Mahaska High School in 1979. On July 25, 1980, Julie was united in marriage to Bart Ewing at the New Sharon Friends Church. To this union three sons were born, BJ, Brian and Brady. Julie worked for Pella Products, Precision Foods and was a housewife; raising their three sons. Bart and Julie had a place in Texas and she waitressed a few years at Powell Park Marina in Broaddus, TX. Julie enjoyed flowers, gardening, canning, embroidering, and above all spending time with her family and grandchildren. Julie also enjoyed watching sports especially women's basketball. She was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan and was a member of the New Sharon United Methodist Church where she attended adult Sunday School classes.

Julie is survived by her husband, Bart Ewing of New Sharon; her sons, BJ (Kristie) Ewing of New Sharon, Brian Ewing of Oskaloosa and Brady Ewing of New Sharon; her grandchildren, Hailey Ewing, Carson Ewing and Baylee Ewing; her siblings, Cindy (Ken) Williams, Cheryl (Bud) Bond and Merwyn Fox III along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Merwyn Jr. and Joyce Fox and her parents-in-law, William and Donna Ewing.
