Keith Steffy, 96 of Green Valley, AZ died November 26, 2016. Memorial services will be held on Monday, December 5, 2016 at the Valley Presbyterian Church in Green Valley, AZ. A visitation will be held at the Holland-Coble Funeral in Montezuma in the spring of 2017. Burial will be held in the Jackson Township Cemetery in Montezuma. Holland-Coble Funeral Home of Montezuma is in charge of local arrangements.

Keith Steffy was born February 16, 1920 in Victor, Iowa to S.F. and Florence Steffy. The family moved to Montezuma, Iowa in 1929, where Keith graduated from high school. After his father died in 1937, he worked with his mother in the family business and helped raise his younger siblings. He went to Mortuary School in St. Louis, MO and then became a business partner with his mother in the Steffy Funeral Home for 40 years. They also owned and operated the Steffy Furniture Store in Montezuma. Keith served three years in the Army Air Corps during World War II. On June 3, 1951, he married Miriam Jean Royer of Cherokee, Iowa. He was a charter member of the Montezuma Chapter of the Lions Club. He also served as president of the Iowa Funeral Directors Association in 1960. Following his retirement in 1982, Keith and Jean moved to Green Valley, AZ. He was an elder and deacon of the Valley Presbyterian Church and was a devoted member of the Green Valley Lions Club. He received the following awards: The Melvin Jones Fellow Award 2003-2004, Lion of the Month May 2011 and Dedicated Service to the Lions Club 2013.

Keith is survived by two children, Daniel and Nancy; a sister, Doris Steffy, a brother, Kaye Samuel Steffy (Gelene) and seven nieces; three nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Miriam Jean; an infant son; a sister Freda and two nephews.
