Kimberly Myers, 64, of Sigourney died Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at the Keokuk County Health Center in Sigourney surrounded by her loved ones. As was her wish, her body has been cremated. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Holland-Coble Funeral Chapel of What Cheer is in charge of arrangements.

With the memory of countless journeys by her side, Kimberly Myers, 64 of Sigourney, has now reached her final destination, back in the arms of her husband, JT, where their beloved motorcycle rides can now be countless and where the road never ends. Kimberly was surrounded by her beloved family as she departed this world on Tuesday May 20, 2025, at the Keokuk County Hospital Sigourney.

Kimberly Kay Myers was born February 17, 1961, at the hospital in Ottumwa, Iowa. Early in childhood, Kim experienced life on the road, frequently living in different towns as her family traveled for work in construction. After returning to the area, she attended middle school and high school at Tri-County schools in Thornburg. Once she returned to her roots in Keokuk County, she stayed and made it her forever home.

Soon after high school she was united and marriage to Justin (JT) Myers. To this marriage, they became devoted parents to Sonya and Geoffrey.  She worked as a dietary aide in the hospital in Sigourney for several years, providing care and comfort through nourishing meals. Her love of cooking extended far beyond work, it was the heartbeat of the Myers home, where every dish was crafted with devotion. Kimberly's husband would often ask "are we feeding an army" as she always prepared enough to do just that. From the daily meals made entirely from scratch to treasured Christmas traditions of candy-making, she infused each recipe with warmth and had a way of turning the simplest ingredients into lasting memories. Kimberly was not only creative in the kitchen, but also in making her own clothing along with her love for writing stories and drawing portraits.

Outside of the kitchen, Kim could be found spending time with her family, which was her most valued treasure. There were many memories made of camping trips, no matter the time of year as they would often wake up in a snow-covered tent, but it made no difference to Kim what the temperature was as long as she was spending quality time with the ones she loved most. She found solace among dark purple lilacs and irises, her favorite flowers, which reflected both her deep appreciation for nature's richness and the quiet strength she carried throughout her life.

Above all, she loved fiercely. She was a mother beyond measure, a grandmother with a full heart, and a woman whose unwavering love has been passed down through generations and was demonstrated in the loving care her family had shown her when she needed it most. Kim's legacy will continue to live through the cherished recipes that have been passed on, and her garden will continue to flourish with the unbreakable love that fills the space that she once occupied.

Kim is survived by Daughter, Sonya Myers; son, Geoffrey Myers; four grandchildren, Derrik Peine, Joseph Peine, Macintier Myers, and Celia Myers;  Siblings, Donna (Ray) Gudith, Ronnie Harris, Randy Harris, Connie (Mickey) Gragg, Stephanie (Jermey) Lewis along with many other family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Justin Myers; parents, Ron and Jean Harris; and father, Larry Dugger.
