Laura L. Becker (Alexander), 61, of Sigourney, passed away peacefully at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on Monday, October 26, 2020.  A private family Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.

Laura is survived by her son, Keith (Carolyn) Becker; step-mother, Ann Alexander; her sister, Debbie (Ron) Mikell, half-sister, Sue (Rich) Haack, and half-brother, Craig (Karna) Alexander, close cousin, Sara (Tyler) Davisson, and niece, Chantelle (John) Thomas; two grandchildren, Kylie and Colton; and ten nieces and nephews.

Laura was born to parents Patricia L. Witt and Larry Alexander on November 18, 1958.  Upon their divorce, she moved to the Cedar Rapids metro area where she lived until she was 16 and returned to Corydon.  She graduated in 1977 from Wayne Community High School and married Kurt Becker and they had their son. After her divorce, she moved back to Cedar Rapids. Then in 2017, she moved to Sigourney to be closer to her son, Keith. In 1988, Laura graduated from Mercy College with a Bachelor Degree of Science in Biology, then in 2006, she became a licensed massage therapist and started her own company.  Laura loved her cats, feeding birds, cooking and reading.  She struggled all her adult life but continued to meet each difficulty with courage and self- development.  We love and miss her.,
