Lawrence Geimer, 58, of Grinnell died Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at the Grinnell Hospital. As were Larry's wishes, his body has been cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Friends may offer condolences to the family at hollandcoblefuneralhome.com

Lawrence Frank Geimer was born June 10, 1962 in St. Louis, MO, the son of Melvin and Norma Borchers Geimer. He attended school at Mehlville High School.  He began cooking at Rich and Charlies in St. Louis and was also a manager at Meadow View Acres in Barnhart, MO.  He also worked as a janitor at Sisters of Saint Mary Hospital at Fenton, MO.  In 2007, he moved to Iowa to be close to his three children.  Larry enjoyed fishing, jigsaw puzzles, and back gammon.  He was kind hearted and never hesitated to help someone in need.  Family was very important to him.

Larry is proceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Norma Geimer, and his brother, Melvin Geimer, Jr.

He is survived by his children; Chad (Bristen) Geimer of Montezuma, Victoria (Barry) Muilenburg of Grinnell, and Emily (Leo) Denny of Deep River; his granddaughter, Madison Jackson;  his brother, Mark (Jennifer) Geimer of Arnold, MO; his sister, Melanie (Bud) Little of Arnold, MO; his nieces and nephews, Dustin Little, Kaytlynn, Jacob, Michael, and Kayleigh Geimer.
