LeeAnn Current, 67 of Grinnell passed away Monday afternoon, April 21, 2025 at the UnityPoint Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am Monday, April 28, 2025 at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in New Sharon. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held in Highland Cemetery in New Sharon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with final expenses. Holland-Coble Funeral Home of New Sharon is in charge of arrangements.

LeeAnn Current, the daughter of Archie Roy and Shirley Ann (Wilcox) Bair, was born on July 30, 1957 in Grinnell, Iowa. She graduated from BGM High School with the class of 1976 and then attended Indian Hills Community College receiving her degree in Medical Transcript. She worked at Pella Plastics, EPC, TPI and Cirsi Group Home in Grinnell. She was married to Donald Urfer and they had a son, John. They later divorced. She was then married to Gary Stanek and to this union two children were born, Robert and Kristina. LeeAnn enjoyed going to church and over the years she attended the New Sharon First Christian Church, the Assembly of God Church in Oskaloosa, West Field near Grinnell and most recently the Nazarene Church in Grinnell. She enjoyed flowers, doing family genealogy and above all she loved her grandchildren. LeeAnn was united in marriage to Jerry Current on June 2, 2000 and he passed away in 2015.

LeeAnn's memory will be honored by her children, John Urfer of Illinois, Robert Stanek of Iowa City and Kristina Stanek of Grinnell; her four grandchildren, Justine, R.J., Rhianna and Jacob; her sister, Deb (Jim) Morton of Victor; her brother, David (Maria) Bair of San Antonio, TX along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jerry Current.
