Leland Tolles, 85 of What Cheer, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023, at the Manor House in Sigourney.  Private funeral services will be held and burial will be in the Springfield Cemetery.  Memorials may be directed to the family.  Holland-Coble Funeral Home of What Cheer is in charge of the arrangements.

Leland Lee Tolles was born on April 2, 1938, at Springfield, Iowa to Lee and Minnie Garrett Tolles.  Leland attended and graduated from What Cheer High School in 1956.  He learned the plumbing and heating industry by hands on training by helping local businesses.  Leland worked for Sid Harvey Plumbing and Heating out of Davenport and retired there as a bookkeeper/manager.  He was always ready to help his family and friends. He loved watching a good football game and was an avid Chicago Bears fan. Leland enjoyed bowling and earned several perfect scores along with several trophies.  He was also a good cook and owned many nice vehicles. Leland was fun loving and very easy going.  He showed respect and affection to his family and friends.

Leland is preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Eugene Kolling: his brother, Vernie Tolles, sister, Dolores Grimm, an infant brother and his nephew, Walter L. Grimm; brothers-in-law, Roy Hauschilt and Walter R. Grimm and his sister-in-law, Wanda Tolles.

Leland is survived by his sister, Alfretta "Babe" Hauschilt; his nephews, Allen Grimm, Steve Hauschilt, Terry Hauschilt, and Michael Tolles; his niece, Kristie Lynch, and several great and great- great nieces and nephews along with many other relatives and friends.
