Leslie Kitzmann, 63 of Thornburg, died at home on Tuesday, December 11, 2018. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 am on Monday, December 17, 2018 at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in What Cheer. Burial will be in the Garrett Cemetery near Delta. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.

Leslie Arthur Kitzmann was born on May 28, 1955 to Albert Leroy Kitzmann and Charlotte Ann Pike.  He was a 1973 graduate of Tri-County High School and attended Muscatine Community College for a short time.  On February 19, 1983, Les was united in marriage to Lisa Barbara Finch at the White Oak Presbyterian Church.    Les worked as an electrician for the University of Iowa for several years before retiring.  He also operated  his family's farm while working fulltime. Les was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and  enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing.  He also enjoyed socializing and hanging out with friends.  Les was a great Father.  His love towards his family was unconditional and family always came first.

Les is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Andrew and David Kitzmann.

He is survived by a son, Zach (Amy) Kitzmann of Barnes City; a daughter, Lacy (Will) Harris of Delta; a brother Allen "Red" (Diane) Kitzmann of Montezuma; a sister, Candy Kitzmann of Des Moines; and a sister-in-law, Marla Kitzmann of Modesto, CA.  Les also leaves behind three grandchildren, Lane Kitzmann, Raelyn Harris, and Payson Witt.
