Marjorie Allgood, 91, of What Cheer, died Saturday, February 24, 2018 at the Mahaska Health Partnership in Oskaloosa. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 am on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at the What Cheer United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Springfield Cemetery near Delta. Visitation will be held on Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in What Cheer. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the What Cheer United Methodist Church.

Marjorie Ann Allgood was born November 12, 1926 in What Cheer, Iowa the daughter of Everett and Madge Lawrance Hemsley. She was a 1944 graduate of What Cheer High School. On June 15, 1947 Marjorie was united in marriage to Rex Allgood at her parents' home in What Cheer. Marjorie began her working career in 1947 as a book keeper for Hemsley Chevrolet. With the help of her husband Rex and brother John, they managed and owned the business until its closing in 1989. After retiring Marjorie and Rex enjoyed traveling to Australia, all over the U.S. and spending their winters in Arizona.. She enjoyed reading, swimming, crossword puzzles and she knew most all the answers to Jeopardy. Marjorie was a member of the What Cheer Methodist Church, Order of The Eastern Star, Women's Society, Lydia's Circle and UMW.

She is preceded in death by her parents' and a son-in-law, Samuel Kitzman.

Marjorie is survived by her husband Rex; two daughters, Kathy Jordan of Phoenix, AZ and Diane Kitzman of What Cheer; a brother, John (Connie) Hemsley of What Cheer; four grandchildren: Robb (Shelly) Kitzman of Clive, Brian (Denise) Kitzman of Gibson, Heather (John) Spiesman of Scottsdale, AZ and Holly Jordan of Prescott Valley, AZ. She also leaves behind eight great grandchildren: Hazel Kitzman, Zachary Kitzman, Cole Kitzman, Caleb Kitzman, Cayle Kitzman, Cayden Kitzman, Kira Spiesman and Emily Spiesman.
