Mary Crosby, 57 of New Sharon passed away Monday morning, November 18, 2024 at her home in New Sharon. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 am Friday, November 22, 2024 at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in New Sharon. Burial will be held in the Highland Cemetery in New Sharon. Visitation will begin after 12:00 pm Thursday, November 21, 2024 at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in New Sharon with the family present from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm to greet friends and relatives. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the family's name to help with final expenses. Holland-Coble Funeral Home of New Sharon is in charge of arrangements.

Mary was born on December 19, 1966, to Arnold and Barbara Adkins. Mary graduated from North Mahaska Schools in 1985. On December 13, 1991, she married the love of her life, Bradley Crosby. Together, they were blessed with three children: Steven, Ashley, and Alicia. Mary held many jobs throughout her life, but her favorite role was being a devoted wife and mother. She excelled in this, attending every event her children were involved in and cheering them on as their biggest supporter. She had a gift for making everyone feel welcome, treating her children's friends as part of her own family. The Crosby home was a hub of warmth and hospitality, especially during homecoming float-building sessions for the class of 2013—a tradition Mary cherished.

Mary also enjoyed her work at Pepperdine's and Pronto, where she created beautiful stained and painted furniture with Dwight and shared laughter with the "coffee guys." Her most recent job was at North Mahaska School, where she truly thrived. She took pride in knowing every student by name and making them feel valued, with the children becoming the highlight of her days. One of Mary's greatest joys was being a grandmother. She adored her grandchildren and treasured the time spent with them.

Mary's memory will be lovingly honored by her husband, Bradley Crosby of New Sharon; her three children: Steven Crosby (Sierra Mayfield) of Chariton, IA, Ashley (Austin) Battreall of Surprise, AZ, and Alicia Crosby (Tanner Reiner) of Sigourney; and her cherished grandchildren: Tristan, Jaxson, Octavia, Marylin, Felicity, Lincoln, Hudson, Blaire, and Willow. She will also be remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Barbara Adkins; her mother-in-law, Alla Mae Helm; and her father-in-law, Dan Crosby.
