Mary Riggle, 71 of Deep River lost her battle with cancer and passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Montezuma Specialty Care in Montezuma.  As was her wish, her body has been donated to the University of Iowa Hospital Deeded Body Program and no services planned. Holland-Coble Funeral Home of Montezuma is in charge of the arrangements.

Mary Virginia Riggle was born on July 15, 1952 at Sigourney, Iowa, the daughter of Theodore Roscoe Beall and Grace Darlene Dale Beall.  She was raised and attended school in Ottumwa.  Mary graduated and attended two years of business college studying bookkeeping.  Mary enjoyed spending time with her best friends, Ryder Bailey, Adrianna, Luna and Christopher Short.

Mary is survived by her nephews, Lee (Jennifer) Short of Deep River, Ed (Kathy) Short of Rogers, AR., Travis (Tiffany) Short of Attalla, AL., and Troy (Kari) Short of Rogers, AR.; and two sisters, Dorothy Morrow of Sigourney and Debra Kellogg of Bloomfield.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Darlene Beall; her granddaughter, Lily Riggle; her brother, William Theordore Beall; two brothers-in-law, George Morrow and Ray Kellogg.
