Patricia DeHeer, 76 of New Sharon passed away Sunday, September 3, 2023 at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines due to an Acute High-Grade B-Cell Lymphoma. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at the Lighthouse Church in New Sharon. Burial will be held in the Stewart Cemetery near Taintor. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made in the family's name to determine a memorial at a later time. Holland-Coble Funeral Home of New Sharon is in charge of arrangements.

Patricia Maxine DeHeer, the daughter of William and Dorothy (Reinier) Greenhalgh, was born on February 16, 1947 at the Hershey Hospital in Muscatine, Iowa. Patricia grew up in Evans, Iowa and graduated from Oskaloosa High School in 1965. She had two daughters, Dorothy and Belinda. Patricia worked for Pella Corporation for 31 years. After retirement, she worked for Casey's in New Sharon, the New Sharon Daycare and was currently working at the East Market Grocery Store in New Sharon. In her spare time Patricia enjoyed sewing, quilting, baking and loved to teach her children, grandchildren and /or anyone who would stop by how to cook or bake. She was a longtime member of the Lighthouse Church in New Sharon where she enjoyed teaching Sunday School and baking for numerous church activities.

Patricia was survived by her two daughters, Dorothy (Dustin) Umphress of Pulaski, Iowa and Belinda (Jim) Arthur of Searsboro; her grandchildren, Victoria (Shaman) Katsaros of Sterling City, TX, Alexis Hobbs of Bloomfield, Brayden Hartman of Pulaski, Chloe Umphress of Pulaski, Ethan Umphress of Pulaski, Kei Arthur of Searsboro and Ash Arthur of Searsboro; two great grandchildren, Raymond and Arliss Katsaros; one brother, Gary (Marilyn) Greenhalgh of Oskaloosa; two sisters-in-law, Mary Greenhalgh of Oskaloosa and Judy Greenhalgh of Oskaloosa; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Frank Greenhalgh and Bill Greenhalgh; a sister, Jeri Arlene Greenhalgh and a son-in-law, Eric Hartman.
