Pheryl Wiltse, 85 formerly of New Sharon passed away Saturday, July 11, 2026 at the River Valley Place of Ottumwa. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 am Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home of New Sharon. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A private family burial will be held in the Woodland Cemetery in Lynnville. Memorial contributions may be made to Stephen's Memorial Animal Shelter. Holland-Coble Funeral Home of New Sharon is in charge of arrangements.

Pheryl Jean Wiltse, the daughter of William and Mary (Beyer) Stewart, was born on May 23, 1941, near Lynnville, Iowa. She attended school at Lynnville before obtaining her GED. Pheryl was married to Warren Burggraaf in 1958. To this union two children were born, Mike and Tracy. Pheryl worked many years for Pella Products managing the New Sharon location before going to work for Pella Windows in 1991. Pheryl was a wonderful seamstress and stayed busy making and repairing aprons for Brownells Inc. for many years. Following her retirement from Pella Windows after 26 years, she continued to sew for Brownells along with making and repairing snow suits, shirts, coveralls, coats and many other products with the highest quality. Pheryl also enjoyed woodworking, she had a huge flower bed, she loved her dog, her horses and her family. She also loved the outdoors, staying busy mushroom hunting and exploring  in the woods. While living in New Sharon, she attended the New Sharon United Methodist Church, the New Sharon Christan Church, the Harvest Community Fellowship in New Sharon and was very active in a Wednesday night Bible Study.

Her legacy will be cherished by her sons, Mike (Cindi) Burggraaf of Fairfield and Tracy (Christina) Burggraaf-Wiltse of Oskaloosa; her five grandchildren, Jennifer (Matt) Show, Brittany (Fiancé, Chris Miller) Mannix, Mallory (Fiancé, Dave Hubner) Burggraaf , Logan Burggraaf-Wiltse and Savannah (Nik) Dykstra; five great grandchildren, Eleanor Show, Felix Show, Maggie Mannix, Libby Miller and Liam Miller; a brother, Larry Stewart of Newton; a sister, Nanci (Roger) Pothoven of New Sharon along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

Pheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Mary Stewart.
