With great sadness, Ralph Edward (Eddie) Sieren 42, died unexpectedly Saturday, December 26 ^th , 2020 at home of natural causes. A funeral mass will begin at 10:30 am on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in North English. Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Sigourney. Visitation will be held at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in What Cheer on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.

Eddie was born October 21 ^st ,1978 to Ralph and Renee Sieren. Eddie was the oldest of the three very busy Sieren boys, who also included Kenny and Scott. Growing up, the three of them spent many hours in the feed room on the dairy farm, playing and creating their next adventure. Eddie was always coming up with ideas, like swinging out of the hay mound by a big rope or playing cops and robbers throughout the farm and every stick on the ground was a pretend gun. There was never a dull moment growing up with Eddie, as Kenny and Scott followed his lead for many years.

Holidays and gatherings for the Sieren's always involved family and food, two things Eddie loved. With many aunts, uncles, and cousins at these gatherings,  there was never a shortage of love. Just like most of the Sieren boys, Eddie loved Grandma Mary Louise's,  laying on the living room floor to recover and Eddie, leading Kenny and Scott, would dog pile on Charlie, starting a wrestling/horsing around match.

Eddie attended Tri-County CSD and graduated in 1997. During his years at Tri-County, he was involved in football and wrestling. Even though Eddie looked very intimidating based on his size, his heart was even bigger and that did not serve him very well when it came to wrestling. Eddie's coach had to teach him how to get aggressive on the mat. The first time Eddie was able to become aggressive and pinned his opponent, the school gym went crazy with excitement for him. As a football player, Eddie had a very important role on his team, he had to protect his teammates behind him and get them in the endzone. Protecting the people he loved was something that came very easy for Eddie and he showed that through his entire life. After graduation, Eddie went to work in the swine industry and worked his way up until he was able to become a manager.

In August 2006 Eddie became a very proud father of his son Milo. Two years later, January 2008, Eddie was blessed with his daughter Madelyn (Maddie). Once Eddie became a father, his world was always around his children. If Eddie had a task to get done at the farm, no matter what age, Milo and Maddie were right behind him, following his lead. As Milo and Maddie grew up, they became involved with youth sports, 4H, showing horses and dogs and many other activities. You would find Eddie bringing the dogs and horses to the shows, helping them get ready and cheering both Milo and Maddie on from the sidelines. Eddie took his role as a father very important and would attend as many activities as he could regardless of the location.

If Eddie did not have his kids and you needed to find him, you would not have to look too far. On the hottest day of the summer, Eddie would be riding the back of a hay rack stacking 75-pound bales with very little effort. Baling hay was something Eddie had a lot of experience in. If you had the opportunity to ever bale hay with Eddie, you would understand. Renee and Karen, his sister-in-law,  were convinced one time to help unload the hay, because he needed two smaller people up top. Eddie would throw these bales up to Renee and Karen, who together would pull these bales that weighed 75+ pounds to where they needed to be. Eddie's philosophy was why make 300 bales when you can make 200. After that day, Eddie had to find new help.

On weekends or holidays, we would gather at Ralph and Renee's house. Eddie's infectious laugh would fill the room, along with his ideas on his next project that he had in the works. We all would spend hours around the kitchen table discussing farming or the next great money-making idea. But Eddie was also a human jungle gym for his kids and his nieces and nephews. Between Milo, Maddie, Ben, Emily, Luke, and Margaret, he would be wrestling around with them, holding them, tickling them, picking them up, and winding them all up and loving every minute he spent with them. If any of them said "Dad" or "Uncle Eddie" he would stop and give his attention to them, he would listen to what they would say and make them feel so loved and important.

Eddie was always a hard worker, enthusiastic, constantly moving forward, and never lacked a smile or a sense of humor. He was a dedicated father to Milo and Maddie, a devoted son to Ralph and Renee, loyal brother to Kenny, Scott and Karen, a loving uncle to Ben, Emily, Lucas and Margaret and a wonderful cousin, nephew, and friend to many others.

Eddie was preceded in death by his half-brother Todd Sean; grandparents, Kenny & Mary Louise Sieren; grandparents ML "Pete" & Donna Tresslar; uncles Todd Tresslar and Steve Tresslar.

He is survived by his 2 children, Milo (14) & Maddie (12); our parents Ralph & Renee Sieren of What Cheer, IA; Kenny (Kadie Conrad) of Pekin, Scott (Karen) Sieren of Keswick; his nieces and nephews, Benjamen (12), Emily (10), Lucas (9), Margaret (6) Sieren and Aubrey Conrad (8), many aunts, uncles and numerous cousins and a large loving family.
