Rhonda Fite, 57, of Montezuma, died Saturday, November 30, 2024. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Burial will be in the Sixteen Cemetery near Thornburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.

Rhonda Fite was born Rhonda Crane on August 9th, 1967 to Robert and Genevive Crane in Grinnell, Iowa. She attended school in Montezuma until 5th grade, then attended Brooklyn school where she graduated May 26th, 1986.

She was united in marriage to Terry Ulrey on December 3rd, 1988 in Grinnell, Iowa. To this union were born two girls named Rebecca and Mary. After divorcing, Rhonda spent her time as a stay-a-t home mom raising Rebecca and Mary. She enjoyed coming together with family and friends as much as possible. From holidays spent with family at her mother's house, to bonfires spent with her adopted family, Mike and Deb Brown (and family). Her laughter was contagious and will live on in her children and grandchildren. Her hobbies included diamond painting, color by numbers, playing card games and completing crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed playing board games like Monopoly and Yahtzee. Spoiling her grandkids was at the top of her list. They were her pride and joy.

She is preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter, Casey Haring and a few special aunts and uncles. She is survived by her daughters, Rebecca (Buddy) Cramer of Montezuma, Mary (Jake) Weinmeister of Oskaloosa, brother Richard (Vicky) Crane of Brooklyn And brother Roger Crane of Deep River. She is also survived by five grandchildren-                 Kailee, Rayne, Genevive, Jacob and River. Along with several nieces and nephews she was also very proud of. Towards the end of life her boyfriend Dave Wright helped her tremendously, getting her to and from various events. Special thanks to him and his children during this time.
