Rick Stockman, 77 of Tiffin and formerly of Oxford, passed away Wednesday morning, April 29, 2026 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics surrounded by his family. As was his wish, his body has been cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2026 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Bryant's Tap and Grill in Tiffin. With Rick's giving heart and always thinking of others first, the family requests memorial donations may be given to an organization or a memorial of your choice in Rick's honor. Holland-Coble Funeral Home of Montezuma is in charge of arrangements.

Rickie Joseph Stockman, the son of Merle and Margaret (Meade) Stockman, was born on July 2, 1948 in Iowa City, Iowa. He graduated from Clear Creek High School with the class of 1966. On September 29, 1967, Rick was united in marriage to Margaret Bowman at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Oxford. To this union two boys were born, Brian and Cam. Rick worked at Proctor and Gamble from 1966 to 1976 before purchasing a dump truck owning and operating it for several years. He then began working at Centro Inc. in North Liberty and was a parttime farmer. In 1985, Rick was involved in a farming accident where he lost both arms. Through dedication, grit and healing, Rick worked very hard and was able to go back to work at Centro eventually retiring during the Covid 19 Pandemic.

Rick loved his family and enjoyed attending his grandchildren's activities, sporting events or anything they were involved in. In his early years, he loved to bowl and golf and continued to golf after his accident by designing a device to go with his prosthetics. Rick was an avid mole hunter and was known to hunt any type of varmint, muskrat or anything else that moved in his pond getting the neighbor involved helping him with his hunting adventures. Rick also enjoyed tending to his yard, watching Jeopardy and Westerns and just enjoyed keeping busy. He was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Oxford, the Stone Creek Golf Club in Williamsburg and the Iowa Amputee Golf Association.

His legacy will be honored by his wife, Margaret Stockman of Tiffin; his sons, Brian (Carrie) Stockman of Montezuma and Cam (Mindy) Stockman of North Liberty; grandchildren, Brayden Stockman, Bryson Stockman, Broox Stockman, Greta Stockman and Cash Stockman; his siblings, Jeanie Ash of Roseville, CA, Bill Stockman of Oxford, Kathleen Zimmerman of Cambridge, Patty (Dwight) Sann of Clarion and Randy (Deb) Stockman of Goddard, KS along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents; a sister-in-law, Janet Stockman and two brothers-in-law, Bob Ash and Mike Zimmerman.
