Bob Rauch, 74 of Deep River passed away Saturday evening, October 10, 2026 at the Brooklyn Community Estate in Brooklyn. As was his wish, his body has been cremated and no services are planned. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bob’s name may be made to the funeral home to help with final expenses. Holland-Coble Funeral Home of Montezuma is in charge of arrangements.

Robert Randall Rauch, the son of Cecil and Janet (Pierce) Rauch, was born on June 3, 1952 in Grinnell, Iowa. He attended Deep River Millersburg School through the 10th grade before pursing his passion of being a heavy equipment operator. Bob worked for several companies throughout the years doing dirt work and running a backhoe. He eventually joined McAninch Corporation working several years before retiring in 2007 at the age 55. On June 1, 1985, Bob was united in marriage to Sherri Foraker. To this union a daughter was born, Sarah Lynn. They divorced in 2003. Bob then met Mona Westfall at a job site working heavy equipment and the couple got married on April 19, 2019. Bob loved working and running heavy equipment. He also enjoyed mushroom hunting, fishing, staying busy chopping wood for his wood burner, watching animal planet, the weather channel and/or anything with tractors and above all his dogs, Dolly and Bandit.

Bob’s memory will be honored by his wife, Mona Westfall of Farmington, Iowa; his stepchildren, Brock (Kimberly) Westfall of Montrose, IA and Brandy (Michael) Vorhies of Marion, Iowa; step grandchildren. Carley, Keagan, Allison and Shelby; a bonus daughter, April (Mac) Ahrens of Malcom; a lifelong friend, Sherri “Vicious” (Vern Sanders) Rauch along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Sarah Lynn; a brother, Bruce Rauch and his sister, Shelby Kurk.
