Robert Giese, 35 of Oskaloosa died Tuesday, November 7, 2017. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am On Friday, November 17, 2017 at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in What Cheer. Burial will be in the Springfield Cemetery at Delta. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family. Robert Lee Giese was born November 8, 1981 in Oskaloosa, Iowa, the son of Tony and Rita Matheny Giese. After attending Sigourney High School he began working at Excel in Ottumwa. Recently Robert worked at Delta Pork as a farrowing manager. He enjoyed boating, fishing and mushroom hunting. Robert also collected coins and all kinds of antiques. From time to time he could be a little cranky and he wouldn't hesitate to speak his mind. Above all Robert loved his friends and family unconditionally.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Rita Giese.

Robert is survived by his father, Tony Giese of Oskaloosa; three sisters, Jennifer (Danny) Carriker of Delta, Amy (Brian) Horn of Oskaloosa, Toni (Ronnie) Pearson of Delta; his fiancee and her daughter, Rebecca and Kailee Haring of Oskaloosa; his aunts and uncle, Richard (Sandra) Matheny of Bettendorf, John Giese of Centerville and Glenna (John) Goldermann of Bettendorf. Robert also leaves behind nine nieces and nephews, Danielle and Janielle Carriker, Alisha, Mikayla, Emily and Candice Horn, Logan and Kolton Pearson and Kailee Haring.
