Robert Rauch passed away Tuesday morning, November 6, 2018 at the Montezuma Specialty Care in Montezuma. Memorial services will be held this Spring. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fuller-Sarvis American Legion Post #507 and sent to Holland-Coble Funeral Home, P.O. Box 727, Montezuma, IA 50171 in care of Robert Rauch.

Robert Henry Rauch, the son of Henry and Laura (Meyer) Rauch was born December 14, 1932 east of Deep River. He attended St. John's Lutheran school near Victor before graduating from Deep River in May of 1950. On February 11, 1956 Robert was united in marriage to Phyllis Sanders at St. John's Lutheran church parsonage near Victor. To this union, two children were born, Steven and Diane. Robert served in the Korean war. He then worked in the construction industry until he retired in 2000. He enjoyed woodworking, watching the St. Louis cardinals and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bob was a member of the Fuller-Sarvis American Legion Post No. 507 in Barnes City and the Barnes City United Methodist Church.

Robert passed away Tuesday November 6 at the Montezuma specialty care in Montezuma, Ia. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Phyllis of Barnes City, IA; his children Steve (LeeAnn) Rauch of Springfield, MO and Diane (Mike) Henry of Barnes City; three Grandchildren, Amanda (Jeff) Meyers of Fairbank, IA, Jennifer (Jonathan) McGuire of Barnes City and Wesley Henry of Barnes City; five great-grandchildren, Abby and Ally Parker; Amy and Addy Meyers & Curtis McGuire.
Robert is also survived by a brother Lavern (Irveen) Rauch of Montezuma; sisters-in-law, Zelda Rauch of Oskaloosa and Lareta Sanders of New Sharon and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Laura Rauch; his sister, Carolyn Grier; and a brother, Lavone.
