Sandra Olive, 81of New Sharon passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, February 5, 2020 at the Pella Hospice Comfort House. Memorial services will begin at 10:30 am on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at the New Sharon First Christian Church. Burial will be held in the Union Mills Cemetery at Union Mills. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New Sharon First Christian Church or Pella Hospice Comfort House. Holland-Coble Funeral Home of New Sharon is in charge of arrangements.

Sandra Elaine Olive, the daughter of Thomas and Helen (Sanders) Grubb, was born on October 21, 1938 near Barnes City, Iowa. She was a 1956 graduate of Barnes City High School. On June 8, 1956, Sandra was united in marriage to Richard Olive at the Barnes City United Methodist Church. To this union three daughters were born, Cindi, Dee and Cheryl. After her children were old enough to begin school, Sandra held various jobs before working at Vermeer Manufacturing in Pella for several years. Sandra also was the secretary at the New Sharon First Christian Church for 11 years. She enjoyed playing on the computer, reading, jigsaw puzzles and crocheting. She was a faithful member of the New Sharon First Christian Church and a member of the Loyal Daughters.

Her legacy will honored by her daughters, Cindi (Mike) Burggraaf of Fairfield, Dee (Curtis) Williams of New Sharon and Cheryl (Gary) Goemaat of New Sharon; 10 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren; her brother, Michael (Nancy) Grubb of Ariton, Alabama; her brother-in-law, Everett (Michelle) Olive; her sister-in-law, Rae Tucker and many other relatives and friends.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard Olive; her great granddaughter, Naomi Phillips.
