Terry Jo Boughner was born on April 6, 1990, in Oskaloosa, Iowa, the son of Samuel and Rose Mary (Kelchen) Boughner. He graduated from Tri-County Schools with the Class of 2009. During his school years, Terry was actively involved in the FFA and played football.

He began his working career at CPS after high school. He later worked at Bender Foundry and Williamsburg Manufacturing and most recently Nutrien Ag.

Growing up, Terry was known for his politeness, always saying "please" and "thank you" from a young age. As the youngest of three siblings, he was the center of his mother's world. He had a passion for working on cars and loved spending time outdoors, with fishing being his favorite activity, though he also enjoyed hunting and attending Figure 8 races. He cherished the time spent with his daughter and other family members.

Terry was always happy to help anyone in need. Even if he didn't have much to give, he would offer whatever he had to help others.

Terry is survived by his daughter, Jean Boughner; his parents, Samuel and Rose Mary Boughner; a sister, Windy (Larry) Leach; a brother, Samuel II (Tammy) Boughner; his grandmother, Donna Boughner; his uncle, Jim Kelchen; his aunt, Elvernal Bissler; and many nieces and nephews; eight great-nephews and one great-niece.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul Boughner and Alivin and Margurite Kelchen; his uncles, Jerome Kelchen and Dale Kelchen; and his aunts; Mary Kelchen, Pat Schmit and Rita Miller.
