Tracy Long, 49 of New Sharon passed away Monday morning, February 25, 2019 at the Mahaska Health Partnership Hospice Serenity House in Oskaloosa. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 am Friday, March 1, 2019 at the New Sharon First Christian Church. Burial will be at the Friends Cemetery in New Sharon. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday evening, February 28, 2019 at the First Christian Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Holland-Coble Funeral Home of New Sharon is in charge of arrangements.

Tracy Lee Long, the daughter of Jerry and Sandra (Pollock) Mitchell, was born on October 22, 1969 in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. She attended Sigourney High School. Tracy worked various customer service positions including: Movie Gallery, Casey's General Stores, for many years at Central Cellular and most recently Plate Electronics. No matter where Tracy worked, she made lifelong friendships. On March 16, 2013, Tracy married the love of her life, Jim Long at Diamond Lake near Montezuma. Tracy enjoyed riding motorcycles, camping, boating, attending motorcycle rallies and riding shotgun in the golf cart, while laughing a Jim's golf game. Tracy also enjoyed hanging out with friends, getting her nails done and the occasional gravel travel. She was a member of the ABATE of Iowa-District 14 and an original member of the "Wild Squirrels" Motorcycle Club.

Her memory will be honored by her husband of seven years, Jim Long of New Sharon; her children, Paige McGriff, Anthony Dommer, Jorden Stump, Ashleigh (Long) Wiederin, Logan Long, Taylor (Long) VanKooten and Emma Long; her grandchildren, Sawyer Schneider, Kyler Wiederin, Emersyn VanKooten, Brynleigh VanKooten and Baby Ansley due August 2019; brothers, Jay Dee Mitchell and Kevin Robertson; sisters, Jody Tuley, Stacy DeReus, Deseiri Scholtus, Denyce Evola, Melinda Litchfield, Jerri Karr and Kelli Headrick and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Sandra Kay Pollock; father, Jerry Dean Mitchell and two brothers, Mike Pollock and Kyle Mitchell.
