Wayne Hicklin, 59 of Orlando, FL passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at the Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando, Florida. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am Thursday, February 6, 2020 at the Holland-Coble Funeral Chapel in What Cheer. Interment will be held in the Springville Cemetery near What Cheer. Holland-Coble Funeral Chapel of What Cheer is in charge of arrangements.

Wayne Scott Hicklin, the son of Dennis and Sherrill (Williams) Hicklin, was born on August 10, 1960 in Iowa City, Iowa. He received his education from City High High School in Iowa City. Wayne held several odd jobs that included working on cars, building decks and most recently working in restaurants in the Iowa City area. He worked as a chef for several years before moving to Orlando, Florida to be closer to his family in 2002. He enjoyed spending time at his grandpa and grandma Hicklin's farm near What Cheer. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and chasing rabbits at young age. He also enjoyed NASCAR; especially watching Dale Earnhart Sr and playing cards.

His memory will be honored by his wife, Susan Smith of Orlando; his children, Amanda Hicklin and Scott Hicklin both of Orlando; his mother, Sherrill Hicklin of Orlando; a step daughter, Sara (Jeriemiah) Ward of What Cheer; three grandchildren, Jason Miller, Daiden Ward and Bristol Ward; three uncles, Garry Hicklin, Donnie (Kay) Hicklin and Keith (Stephanie) Hicklin and many other relatives and friends.

Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Hicklin; his grandparents and an aunt, Sharon Hicklin.
