Whitney Elizabeth Hadsell, 40, passed away on July 28, 2026. Born on July 14, 1986, Whitney was known for her kind heart, strength, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. She approached life with compassion, grace, and a sense of humor that could brighten even the most difficult days. Above all else, Whitney was a devoted mother. Her greatest joy was raising her children, and she treasured every moment spent cheering them on, celebrating milestones, and creating lasting family traditions. Her love, encouragement, and selflessness shaped their lives in countless ways. Whitney also cherished time with her family and friends. She enjoyed music, singing, fishing, hunting mushrooms, bonfires, and playing cards and board games with her family. She was very devoted to her work. She obtained two degrees in her pursuit to better herself. She started out in the cosmetology field; styling hair and designing nails for roughly 4 years until she graduated school to become a licensed massage therapist. Whitney found her passion as a massage therapist; she loved making her clients feel better and live their lives more comfortably. When she passed, she had been working at the Mahaska Health Hospital in Oskaloosa, IA for a year, partly studying to be a sleep technician while doing her daily massage duties.

Whitney was preceded in death by her sister Crystal Hadsell; her grandparents, Leland and Barbara Hadsell and James Harold and Donna Koch.

She is survived by her children, Mason, Piper and Micah; her parents, Gary and Patricia Hadsell; her siblings, Nicholas Hadsell (Jessica), Jessica Hadsell, Regina Williams (David); her nieces and nephews, Jazlynn and Julia Hadsell, Trenton and Andrew Hadsell, and David Williams II,

Logan, Alyssa and Kora Hadsell; and many more extended family members.

Though her time with us was far too short, Whitney leaves behind a legacy of love, joy, and generosity. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her family, friends, anyone who was fortunate enough to have known her and all whose lives were touched by her kindness.

A visitation will be held on Monday, August 3, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Holland-Coble Funeral Home. A celebration of Whitney's life will take place on Tuesday, August 4, at 10:00 a.m., also at Holland-Coble Funeral Home, followed by luncheon at Methodist Church in What Cheer.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the family in Whitney's honor, paid directly to a fund established at Holland-Coble Funeral Home in What Cheer, IA.
