William Paul Kapple (Will) was born in LeMars, IA on December 29th, 1977, and adopted by Larry and Constance (Moore) Kapple six months later. He grew up in Delta with his sister Beth, surrounded by grandparents, family, and friends. He played baseball growing up, and his grandfather was his coach for many years. Will played football and baseball in high school. He graduated high school from Tri-County in Thornburg, and worked at Schwan’s as a delivery driver and warehouse manager, Kinze Manufacturing, and Vermeer. He had heart issues and a ruptured vertebrae in his neck which ended his manufacturing career. Will continued his love of baseball playing slow pitch for several years, starting a team and making many friends. He loved watching his Iowa Hawkeyes with family and friends, and he was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, Florida State Seminoles, and Washington Commanders. Will volunteered at the What Cheer Flea Market starting in high school until the Brat Shack closed. He also volunteered at the figure 8 races in What Cheer for several years. After five years of dating Will married his high school sweetheart Kelly Conrad on July 25th, 1998. They welcomed their first child, Hunter, on September 1st 2000, and second child, Dillon, on May 27th, 2004. Will loved helping coach them in T-Ball, and watching them play sports. He enjoyed spending time with his step-grandbabies and watching them start their sports careers. His mom installed the love of God with him early, attending church at White Oak Presbyterian Church outside of Thornburg. Although Will wasn’t attending a church currently, he continued to pray over things and continue his connection with his faith. He believed he would be reunited with his mom, grandparents, and loved ones when he did pass on.
Will is survived by his wife of 28 years, Kelly, his sons Hunter (fiancée Josalan) and Dillon, Josalan’s children Zandan, Waylan, and Nashtan, his father Larry, mother and father-in-law Denise and John Conrad, sister-in-law Stephanie (Eric) Smith, and brother-in-law Joey (Katie) Conrad, nephews Jamison (Gracee) Smith, Conrad Smith, Emerson Smith, Flynn Smith, Landon Conrad, niece Alyssa Conrad, uncles Terry (Pam) Kapple and Chuck Moore, aunts Nancy (Dante) Rebori and Colleen (Jeff) Lancial, several cousins, and aunts, uncles, and cousins in Kelly’s family, and friends too numerous to mention. He was proceeded in death by his mother Connie, his grandparents Don and Jean Kapple, Bill and Gayle Moore, Frank and Margarett Thomas, and cousin Randi Jo O’Leary.
