William R. Klinzman, 74 of New Sharon passed away at home of natural causes Saturday, April 26, 2025. Graveside services will begin at 1:00 pm Thursday, May 15, 2025 at the Highland Cemetery in New Sharon. Holland-Coble Funeral Homes of New Sharon is in charge of arrangements.

William Raymond Klinzman, the son of William "Bill" and Elouise (Munger) Klinzman, was born on July 14, 1950, in Oskaloosa. He graduated from North Mahaska High School with the class of 1968 and played quarterback on the North Mahaska Football Team before attending Marshalltown Community College and Northeast Missouri State. William moved back to New Sharon and worked for a builder in Grinnell doing finishing work. He then worked for Bird Lane Farms in Barnes City before running "The Bar" in New Sharon. Most recently William was self-employed refinishing furniture and taking care of his parents until they passed away. He loved his cat, Junior, and enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years, reading, golfing and watching sports on his big screen T.V. He also enjoyed playing fast pitch softball on the McGriff team and then later playing slow pitch.

His memory will be honored by his sister, Peggy Maudlin of New Sharon; a nephew, Michael Maudlin of Steamboat Springs, CO; a niece, Melissa (Tony) Hairston of Humble, TX; great nephews, Dalton (Taylor) Hairston and Dylan Hairston; two great-great nieces and a great-great nephew, Wyatt, Leah and April along with many other friends.

William was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Elouise Klinzman and a great-great niece, Lauren Taylor Hairston.
