Zachary Kitzman, 29, of Gibson, died Friday, March 20, 2026. Funerals services will begin at 2:00 pm on Friday, March 27, 2026 at the Holland-Coble funeral Home in What Cheer. Visitation will begin at noon, with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, March 26, 2026. Burial will be in the Springfield near Delta. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made directly to his sister, Hazel Rabe, or his brother, Cayle Kitzman, to assist with funeral expenses and support the family as they honor Zachary's life.

Zachary Allen Kitzman was born on August 22, 1996, and passed away on March 20, 2026. Born to Denise and Brian Kitzman, Zachary was raised in Gibson, Iowa, alongside his older sister, Hazel (Rabe) Kitzman, and his younger brother, Cayle Kitzman. He attended the Tri-County School District and graduated from Tri-County High School in 2014. During his time in school, Zachary was active in athletics, participating in football, wrestling, and baseball—sports he truly enjoyed and that helped shape his strong work ethic and team-first mentality.
Following graduation, Zachary began working for his father's business, Kitzman Construction. After the passing of his father in February of 2022, he stepped into a role that required strength, resilience, and leadership beyond his years. Zachary carried forward his father's legacy by continuing the family business, becoming instrumental in its success. He dedicated himself fully to the work and took immense pride in what he built and maintained. When his brother Cayle graduated, he joined Zachary in running the business, and the two worked side by side since 2023. Zachary was a guiding presence in his brother's life, offering support, leadership, and friendship as they continued building the family legacy together. Following the loss of his father, Zachary stepped up in a remarkable way-supporting the business, helping coworkers, and being a steady and dependable presence for his family and community. He was someone others could always count on, and his strength during difficult times did not go unnoticed. Outside of work, Zachary found great joy in spending time with his family. He loved taking family vacations over the years, including trips to the Caribbean, Disney World, and water parks, creating lasting memories with those he loved most. He was a dedicated and loving uncle to his nieces and nephew, Grady, Maisie, and Jovie Rabe, always bringing joy, laughter, and energy into their lives.
Zachary was also an avid wrestling fan and especially loved watching his cousin Madison Connell compete in wrestling tournaments, taking great pride in cheering her on and supporting her in every way he could. His family was exceptionally proud of him, knowing he could always be counted on as a steady and reliable presence. Zachary was a loving uncle, an exceptionally helpful son and grandson, and a loyal and supportive friend. He had a generous spirit and a willingness to help anyone in need, leaving a lasting impact on those around him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Brian Kitzman, and his grandfather, Sam Kitzman, Great Grandparents Marge & Rex Allgood, & beloved dog Harley.
Zachary is survived by his mother, Denise Kitzman; his sister, Hazel (Colton) Rabe; his brother, Cayle Kitzman; his grandparents, Diane Kitzman, and Donna and Allen Jordan; his nieces and nephew, Grady, Maisie, and Jovie Rabe; his aunts and uncles, including Mike and Melinda Connell; Robb & Shelly Kitzman, Allene Jordan, and many cousins and extended family members who will cherish his memory.
